Reflections on neomanagegerial reforms. Towards a new administrative reform

Abstract

 

This paper examines the context, and both the political and economic circumstances which were combined to allow the implementation of neomanagerial reforms in Hispanic America. It addresses, in a systematic manner, the axes and measures of neomanagerial reform as a wide-ranging management model, linking them with indicative and outstanding results obtained as an effect of the implementation of neomanagerial measures in Hispano-American public administration. The previous, to find out whether they have contributed to the improvement of public administration in the region, with consideration to the particular conditions of its public administration. Finally, reflections, considerations and conclusions on the process are issued, in order to investigate the future direction of Hispano-American public administration reform.
